LaserDog will unite and make more customers for laser tag parks around the world by developing an online platform where the game organizers can upload all the players’ statistics from the games and thus create online profile statistics for every player. Players will try to get higher ranks, better statistics and thus play laser tag more frequently. LaserDog has already opened their first laser tag park in Riga, Latvia.
Most of the current mobile phones and portable audio players don’t provide a proper way to adjust audio output to take full advantage of earphones, headphones and other audio systems. AK96 will solve this problem by developing a small in-line hardware audio equalizer.
KinetikBeam is developing very thin electrostatic Hi-Fi loudspeakers, which will have unique, customizable design. For example, the surface of the loudspeaker can be painted over to resemble a painting hung on a wall. Their aim is to hit the B2C market, in which there is almost no competition for such a unique product. KinetikBeam has finished the first prototypes and have received requests from a couple of potential clients.
Up to two million bicycles are stolen each year, Hercogs aim is to reduce this number by developing a lightweight GPS tracker for bicycles. That tracker would be integrated in the frame of the bicycle and send location signals to the owner when necessary. Similar products exist, however, they are too heavy and too big to hide and don’t have a long lasting battery.
EBR Systems is developing specialized headphones for use with sports helmets. They have produced their first two prototypes – one set of mountable headphones for winter sports helmets and another one for a summer sports helmets. The specialized headphones will also have control buttons on their sides so the riders would not have to take out their audio players each time they’d wish to skip a song.

La Tupel is a student team, developing a Wi-Fi enabled light switch, that could be controlled with a mobile application. It will also have the possibility to show either the light is on or off in the specific room, have controlled timing when to switch the lights on or off. Also it will help to wake up early in morning having the possibility to turn light from dim to very bright, so the person’s natural biorythm is not intervened.
Team Mehi are working on a product called “Belt-On” which is an additional soft pad for vehicle safety belts. Many people don’t use safety belts because they are either uncomfortable or unattractive, however, not using a safety belt is one of the key reasons for fatal outcomes in car accidents. The team aims to make safety belt wearing stylish and comfortable with “Belt-On”. The product will be available in a variety of colors and themes.
